The latest in the Samuel Beckett Early Career Scholars Initiative series of webinars has just been announced. This session will focus on forming research clusters for Beckett ECRs. As the organisers state: ‘At the beginning of your career, it’s important to form supportive networks that can help you develop your work. Doing so is also good for the wider Beckett community. Research groups develop new approaches, challenge orthodoxies, and help keep the field in good intellectual health. With this in mind, we’ll discuss how best to develop these networks. And, we’re interested in hearing from you, as ECRs working on Beckett, what research groupings you’d like to see and how can we help facilitate them’.
The session includes guest speakers Tomasz Wiśniewski (U of Gdańsk; Beckett Research Group) and James Little (U of Cyprus; IFTR Samuel Beckett Working Group; UCY Irish Studies Collective). It will be facilitated by David Pattie (U of Birmingham)
The hour-long webinar will take place on Monday 16 March 2026 @ 5 PM UK; 6 PM Poland; 7 PM Cyprus; 10 AM PST
Participation is free of charge but registration is essential at this link
